Senior Vice President and CIO

Rani Johnson brings 20 years of experience in IT, as well as a background in technical sales and product lol世界总决赛下注, to her role at SolarWinds. She previously led the IT function at companies in both the energy and software industries, most recently as the CIO for the Lower Colorado River Authority.


Tim Brown
Vice President of Security

Tim Brown serves as Vice President of Security for SolarWinds, overseeing internal IT security, product security, and security strategy. Tim has over 20 years of experience developing and implementing security technology. As a former Dell Fellow and CTO, Tim deeply understands the challenges and aspirations of technology and security professionals. Tim also holds 18 issued patents on security-related topics.


Jason Bliss
Executive Vice President, Corporate Development, General Counsel and Secretary

Jason W. Bliss has served as our Executive Vice President, Corporate Development, General Counsel and Secretary since January 2020. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Bliss was an associate at DLA Piper LLP (US) specializing in mergers and acquisitions, capital market transactions and technology licensing. Prior to DLA Piper, Mr. Bliss was a technology consultant with Accenture.


Jim Hansen
Vice President, Strategy, Applications, Infrastructure, and Security

Jim Hansen brings over 20 years of experience to building and delivering simple and effective software solutions. He joined SolarWinds in August 2018 to build the security portfolio and has since expanded to cover infrastructure and application. Prior to SolarWinds, Hansen worked at AlienVault first as the VP of Product Management and then as VP of Product Marketing.


Brandon Shopp
Vice President, Product Strategy, Network Management

Brandon Shopp has a proven success record in product delivery and revenue growth—including software product, business model, mergers and acquisitions, and go-to-market strategies experience. Prior to SolarWinds, Shopp was the Vice President of Product Management at AlienVault and the Senior Director of Products at Embarcadero Technologies.

Alex Quilter is a vice president of product lol世界总决赛下注 for the SolarWinds MSP security portfolio. He brings nearly two decades of technical product lol世界总决赛下注 and engineering experience across security and cloud services to his current role. Prior to SolarWinds, Alex held multiple product lol世界总决赛下注 leadership roles, including director positions for Cisco and Qualys, as well as senior manager roles at nCircle Network Security and HP software.


Thomas LaRock
Head Geek, Security

Thomas LaRock has over 20 years of IT experience holding roles such as programmer, developer, analyst, and database administrator. He is a Microsoft Certified Master, VMware vExpert, Microsoft Certified Trainer, and a ten-time Microsoft Data Platform MVP. He also helped create what is now known as SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer (DPA). LaRock has served on the board of directors for the Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS), and is an avid blogger, author, and technical reviewer for numerous books about SQL Server lol世界总决赛下注.


Gill Langston
Head Security Nerd

Gill Langston is a security product lol世界总决赛下注 professional with a strong background in sales, technical, and marketing collaboration. Having worked directly with MSPs for most of his career, Gill Langston has a unique and in-depth skillset within the managed services and security space. Focused on taking MSPs to the next level when it comes to their security services, Gill is currently serving as the Head Security Nerd at SolarWinds MSP, in addition to his appointment as Technical Marketing Manager, Principal.
